The Christian Historical Society is a fellowship of Christian researchers dedicated to empowering, engaging, and enriching Christian history while preserving Christian contributions to Indian society. Our society is operated by volunteers, theologians, and historians. Over the past three years, we have undertaken various projects, including field research, digitization, multimedia podcasting, and social media outreach, all aimed at highlighting the richness of Indian Christianity and the Kingdom of God. Particularly, for the empowerment of future Christian generations, our society publishes a research periodical called "Christhuva Varalaru Suvadugal." Additionally, to enrich and engage Christian knowledge, the Christian Historical Society republishes old Christian books.
If your field is history—regardless of your specialization or profession—membership in the Christian Historical Society is indispensable. Among the numerous organizations that serve historians, only the Christian Historical Society brings together like-minded individuals from all geographical and topical specializations, and all work contexts, embracing the breadth and variety of activity in history today. Most importantly, only the Christian Historical Society addresses the interests of the discipline as a whole as well as the diverse needs of its individual members. By fostering a community rooted in shared values and scholarly pursuits, the Christian Historical Society not only enhances professional development but also promotes a deeper understanding of history through a Christian lens. Members enjoy exclusive access to cutting-edge research, networking opportunities with peers, and a platform to discuss and disseminate historical insights that integrate faith and scholarship.
We work to protect history and preserve Christian antiques, uphold academic freedom, safeguard history education, secure resources for historical study, preserve historical archives, and protect historians worldwide. Our efforts support broad participation by women, independent scholars, public historians, and teachers.
We publish "Christhuva Varalaru Suvadugal," the major journal of record for the Christian historical discipline, offering hundreds of indispensable research articles on teaching, technology, history in the media, public history, archives, and research. Our official blog, Perspectives Daily, covers a wide range of topics relevant to members and the history discipline. Additionally, we facilitate Christian Historical Knowledge, an online forum where members can collaborate with other historians and educators.
